TASK 8 Working with Short Stories

TASK 8
0. Download the story called 'The Monkey's Paw'. To do so you need to go to FILES at the top of the page. Click on Files 1 Bachillerato. Then click on the file with the name of the story. Copy it and paste it on a new page on your blog. Then, ....
1.Read the story from the beginning right to the end. Underline the words that you don't know.
2.Write a summary of the story in Spanish just as you understood. Use your blog preferably. If you can't use your blog, use your notebook.
3.Read the story again. Try to infer the meaning of the words underlined from the context. Write then down on your blog.
4.Use a dictionary to check that your guess is right.
5.Read the story again from the very beginning. Make sure that this time you remember the meaning of the words that you underlined.
6.Write a summary of the story in your own words. Your teacher will tell you how many words it must have.
7.Write a 10 item questionnaire about the content of the story.
8.Make sure you carry out the indications of your teacher. He'll give you a little test to find how much you remember.

  • 2:En una noche fria y humeda , en la que un padre y un hijo jugaban al ajedrez , llego un amigo del padre a la casa el cual era sargento , y empezo a contarles historias , incluyendo una de una mano de un mono , esta condecia deseos , pero el les advirtio que les perjudicaria , el tenia esta mano y no la queria , asi que se la dio , pero le recomendo que la quemase , ellos pidieron 200 libras , y a la mañana siguiente un hombre vino y le dio 200 libras y le digo que era en recompesa del accidente que tubo de muerte el hijo en la fabrica . los padres estaban muy dolios , una noche a la mujer se le ocurrio pedir el deseo a la mano de que el hijo volviera a la vida , y y esa noche ella le dijo al marido que pidiese ese deseo , al rato empezaron a dar golpes en la puerta , la mujer salio corriendo para habrir , decia que era su hijo y el hombre asustado , porque no lo queria dejar pasar , pidio el tercer y ultimo deseo , todos los ruidos sesaron , la mujer habrio al puerta y no habia nadie.

TASK 6: HISTORY HORROR.

Juan has convinced his parents to let him use the house  they have in the country to spend a few days with his friends, It's a long weekend and Juan and his friends drive to the house to spend their holidays there. The date is 2 November, All Souls Day. Juan and his friends decide to have a Halloween party so they dress up and decorate the house (skeletons, skulls, horrible pictures, etc) to help create the right atmosphere. They have also bought some beer and other alcoholic drinks. It's late in the evening, it`s getting rather cold and windy. The rain starts coming down. Suddenly the lights go off. Alicia, one of Juan's friends suggests to do a ouija session in the dark. They all agree with enthusiasm. They set up everything and starts doing it. However they weren't prepared for the events that would happen later in the house and that they would never forget for the rest of their lives.

    Put the gameabsurd on the table , began to ask questions, nothing was happening , until asked someone will die? , then a cold breeze of wind around the room , but all the windows were closed, and a rustling was heard in the room , one window had broken. the children out ran but the doors were locked and could not leave, began to smell something burning, the flames suddenly surrounded them, all were burned, but the ashes is a note without burning paper that said, do not play with spirits.

1-. Woman asleep and in middle of the night , phone rings , she turns to the other site the bed and was her  husband resting or so she thought , answered the phone , and was her husband. How could it he?,So who was lying next to him?, the monster get up and kill her , there was blood all over the room, the husband to arrive, was killed by the monster.

Suddenly,... the horror , one child is is thrown a well , and all scream and run , they were trapped by a creature and thrown into the well.

Task 2 Spain wins the World Cup

 

-Spain won the World Cup and is something that all Spanish people like to see again, it was an unforgettable moment, who joined millions of people of all nationalities who believed in Spain. It was a tough match against the Netherlands win and that shows that we are the best in football and it's something nobody can take away.It made me very happy, cheerful and eager to celebrate because it was something very special.All Spanish took to the streets to celebrate him and it was a very long celebration ...Navas epic moment when you go on three passes to iniesta, then pick it puts Torres and shoot and goal iniesta
